Hey all,
Before even playing on this server, I highly suggest reading our set of rules as they may be different to other servers you have previously played on.
Things to note before reading our rules:
- We take these rules very seriously, people who "try it on" or mess us around with regard of rules, will face consequences as they are extremely clear.
- Any continued offenses could result in complete removal from the server.
- A list of prohibited and permitted game modifications can be found below the rules.

Official Server Rules are as follows:
1. No Hacked/Cracked Clients or Hacking
Using clients, resource packs, macros/programs etc that modify your gaming experience in a way that would give you an unfair advantage over the rest of the player base, against other players or staff will result in a ban without warning. This may include threats to DDoS. An overview on the types of mods permitted can be found below.
1st Offense: Permanent Ban
Though alting is permitted, if you are found to have alts on the server affiliated with the account that is hacking they will all likely be permanently removed from the server.
2. No Advertising
Putting a link/reference/name of another server in chat that relates to another server, leads to pornographic images or sites, screamers, pictures, and links/references to your personal youtube/twitch account (where the content is unrelated to TMFactions) may result in a ban.
1st Offense: Verbal Warning (warning unless the advertisement is being spammed)
2nd Offense: Permanent Ban (lesser offenses can be appeals on the forums under Ban Appeals)
3. Glitches and Exploits - If an exploit is found, report it immediately.
Do so by contacting a staff member and creating a BUG report.
Using a glitch or exploit within the game to provide yourself, your faction or others an advantage will result in a ban from the server.

Item Duplication
The following may be increased or reduced, depending on severity.
1st Offense: 3 Day Temp Ban
2nd Offense: 7 Day Temp Ban
3rd Offense: 30 Day Temp Ban
4th Offense: Permanent
Glitching into bases will result in an immediate 7 day tempban for the first offense with subsequent offences being reviewed by the Staff team and could be permanent.
If you and another member are caught working as a team to find a means to glitch into a base you will suffer the same consequences.
Block glitching purely depends on the severity, for example: harmless block glitching around spawn etc is permitted, where as ghost hitting someone through a block is not.
Note: In cases of very serious exploits the resulting punishment regardless of the quantity of offenses will be a permanent ban - examples of this include but are not limited to duplication of items and punishment is at the discretion of the Owner.
4. Racism, Discrimination, Sexual, and Derogatory Remarks are not welcome here.
We are an all inclusive server. Using discriminatory / racist / homophobic or sexual remarks can make players feel unwelcome on the server. This is not the case and will not be tolerated.

Staff are volunteers that are here to ensure the server runs smoothly. They do not have the option of ignoring rule breakers. If you choose to disrespect or disregard them, you risk punishment. They are not here to abuse, they are here to keep the server running for everyone. This includes excessive trolling, name calling etc.

2nd Offense: 1-6 hour Mute (Depending on the severity)
3rd Offense: 1 Day Temp Ban

6. No Explicit Material
We are a server for players of all ages. Offering yourself, or pictures of yourself, to any player or staff. Directing sexual gestures and phrases, towards others is not appropriate. This includes inappropriate builds and skins.

3rd Offense: 1 Day Temp Ban
4th Offense: 7 Day Temp Ban
Excessive offenses that follow will be reviewed by staff and punishment for continued abuse will be at the discretion of the Owner.
7. Don't Spam or Swear
Repeating the same phrases, flooding the chat, repeat or random characters (such as in making designs), writing gibberish or a collection of letters for the purposes of annoying others are all examples of spam as it pertains to this rule. This includes TPA Spam, private message spam, faction join spam, unnecessarily long word extensions: "lolllllllllllllllllll", and the like.
Note: starting hashtags is seen as spam as it coaxes players to start spamming / rioting and purposefully causing spawn may result in an immediate warn/mute/kick without a verbal warning.

8. In Game Scamming is Not Permitted
Scamming is not permitted on the server. Players misrepresenting items for sale, offering to give an item in payment for actions and not following through when able, bait and switch, are all examples of scamming. This INCLUDES renaming items as if they are something they are not (like mooshroom eggs, custom enchant books and the like) in the Auction House.
Insiding is not scamming. Be choosy who you team with!

9. TP/TPA Killing, Portal Trapping, and Traps
TP/TPA Killing and Traps that remove a players ability to /spawn or /home will result in removal from the server without warning. Examples of bannable traps are those that would render the player completely unable to play (ie: If the trapper were to log off the player would be stuck there indefinitely). If a player chooses to enter a dangerous area they do so at their own risk.
DERPS/Trap Houses are permitted.

10. Selling in game items / IGN's etc for paypal or other game items
Players are not permitted to sell in game items including their minecraft account on the server for paypal / cash or make deals regarding other game modes

3rd Offense: 30 Day Temp Ban

11. In Real Life Money Scamming / Chargebacks
In Real Life Money Scamming in which someone promises to purchase a server store item in return for favors in game will result in a Ban.
Purchasing ranks for any player other than yourself or in trade for items in game is not permitted. Players who agree to this type of transaction are placing themselves at risk. Chargebacks will result in a permanent ban from the server until the funds are repayed for a first time offense only.
Continued offenses will result in complete removal from the server with no chance of appeal.
12. Bypassing Locked / Muted chat will result in removal from the server
If you choose to attempt to bypass a chat lock, it could result in removal from the server. Bypassing when staff are trying to communicate without interruption on something that is seen as important only undermines the server as a whole.
1st Offense: 5m - 60m tempban from the server.
Continued offenses could result in complete removal from the server.
13. 20 Chunk Buffer Limit
Factions are allowed a maximum of 20 chunks buffering their base.
A 20 chunk buffer equates to 160 genned walls (just to put it in perspective for you).
The buffer is measured from the EXTERIOR WALL OF YOUR BASE and does NOT include the base itself.
If a faction has a buffer that exceeds 20 chunks, they may be asked to correct the issue themselves.
Or a 2 chunk line maybe unclaimed by a staff member.
If a faction reclaims that radius, the buffer faction, or the main faction risk further repercussions including (but is not limited to):
- Warning
- Ban
- /f unclaim
- Disband
Continued offenses could result in complete and permanent removal from the server, disbanding of your faction or the like.
14. No Inappropriate IGNs
As stated in rule 4: Racism, Discrimination, Sexual, and Derogatory Remarks are not welcome here. If a player is seen with an inappropriate IGN, they will be banned until they change their name and an appeal is submitted.
1st Offense: Permanent ban until changed
Continued offenses could result in complete removal from the server.
15. No Punishment Evading
This rule is quite self explanatory, if you are found to be punishment evading by any member of staff, your punishment will be increased drastically.
Evading a mute: + 6-24 hours (Depending on severity)
Evading a ban: + 3-14 days, or IP ban (Depending on severity)
Evading a forum ban: + 3-14 days, or IP ban (Depending on severity)
Evading a warning: Saying you did not receive a warning when it it is evident that you have, will escalate said punishment.
16. Do not "Mini Mod" in chat.
Urban Dictionary definition: "http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=Minimod"
Mini Modding can be frustrating for both staff members and players, hence being punishable.
1st Offence: Formal Warning
2nd Offence: 1-6 Hour Mute
3rd Offence 1-3 Day temporary ban

17. Donor Shop
It is strictly prohibited to TP any non donors into our donor shop, or sell these donor exclusive items.
How ever if a non donor is to receive these through plausible means, they are invulnerable to any punishment.

- Raiding a donor

2nd Offence: 1-7 Day Server ban

18. English Only
We are a English speaking based server, Please refrain from using another language in public chat, but using another language in faction chat is allowed. One word phrases are also allowed.

Game Mods Permitted:
Allowed mods include the following:
Optifine:
Optifine is a mod that is mostly used for boosting FPS (Frames per second) so it is perfectly fine to use! It is also used for other things like connected textures, or a swaggy cape on your back! Oh and it makes the chat look beautiful <3
Better Sprint:
Better Spring is a mod that makes you able to press a button (and toggle) to sprint, and is a very useful addition for PvP and just Minecraft in general. However it is not banned because it is already sort of in default Minecraft. (You can just press the CRTL button)
Schematica:
Schematica allows for easier cannon making
Armor/Potion Status Hud:
These include, but are not limited to mod packs such as:
- 5zig
- bspkrs
- InGameInfoXML
- LiteLoader
- Laby Mod
Damage Indicators:
Damage Indicators displays the health of another mob/player which is a useful addition for PvP as it shows the hearts of a player mid battle. It is allowed as it has been a feature on our server where it displays a players hearts under their tag.
Minimaps:
Minimaps that do not show players, mobs, or caves are welcome. Examples include Journey Map's Fair-Play edition and Zan's Minimap Fair-play edition.
The features that are not allowed on our servers are:
Player radar, Underground maps and armor showing. Features that don't modify the map to give a great advantage (Zoom, Circle instead of square on certain maps, etc) are allowed.
Shaders:
All shaders does is make the world look more fabulous.
World Downloader:
World downloaders, They allow the downloading of chunks to check whats in the base but they do not show what is in chests.
Misc. Mods:
Mods that will edit things like Font or Music are allowed as they don't give advantages over players.
Prohibited mods we are frequently asked about:
Hacked / cracked clients:
Hacked clients such as Resilience, Huzuni and many others are strictly forbidden on tmfactions as they alter your game entirely to an extent. Like every blacklisted mod, you will be permanently banned using any of these.
BetterPvP:
BetterPvP gives you things such as fast eat, which are not allowed on Tmfactions , as it gives an advantage.
Macros/Auto-clicking:
Macros allow you to press a key, also known as a "hotkey", and it will execute a command, such as clicking P and you will do /eat (Or feed). This is banned because it is not fair to other players as they will still have to eat. And Auto-clickers are obvious on what they do, by clicking itself and you not having to do anything, and be lazy. And for all those banned for this reason, saying "I put a paperweight/something on my spacebar" does not work in an appeal. In "Real Life" items that autoclick for you are also not allowed.
X-ray texture packs:
X-ray texture packs, or texture packs that lets you find caves are not allowed, as it is the same as using X-ray on a hacked client. Thus, it is banned.
Misc. Mods:
Name tag mods, self explanatory, you can see name tags clearly from a distance. This is not allowed and any that give you an advantage over players that would be unfair.
For those "Cheeky" players that think just because it was not mentioned on here, it is allowed. That is not the case, any modification that gives you an advantage over players will result in a permanent global ban.

Macros/Auto-clicking:
Macros allow you to press a key, also known as a "hotkey", and it will execute a command, such as clicking P and you will do /eat (Or feed). This is banned because it is not fair to other players as they will still have to eat. And Auto-clickers are obvious on what they do, by clicking itself and you not having to do anything, and be lazy. And for all those banned for this reason, saying "I put a paperweight/something on my spacebar" does not work in an appeal. In "Real Life" items that autoclick for you are also not allowed.
X-ray texture packs:
X-ray texture packs, or texture packs that lets you find caves are not allowed, as it is the same as using X-ray on a hacked client. Thus, it is banned.
Misc. Mods:
Name tag mods, self explanatory, you can see name tags clearly from a distance. This is not allowed and any that give you an advantage over players that would be unfair.
For those "Cheeky" players that think just because it was not mentioned on here, it is allowed. That is not the case, any modification that gives you an advantage over players will result in a permanent global ban.
